The home town of downhill world champion Michael Walchhofer promises skiing pleasure from December to Easter under the motto "from the hotel directly onto the slopes!". The accommodation offers range from the 4****s hotel to the cozy vacation apartment. 14 ski huts and restaurants invite to the Einkehrschwung and Après ski.

The slopes of the World Cup resort of Zauchensee in Ski amadé meet the demands of beginners to professionals. Skiing, snowboarding, powdering, carving, freeriding: The winter pleasure in the middle of the Salzburg Sports World is limitless and with the right technique it's twice as much fun. The pros at the two ski and snowboard schools in Zauchensee show kids and adults how it's done! You can find the right equipment in four sports stores on site.

Every two years in January, the world's best female ski racers meet in Zauchensee on the spectacular Gamskogel run. You too can enjoy the World Cup feeling. You can reach the start of the course at an altitude of 2,176 m with the "World Cup Express" inclined elevator.

In the training center Kogelalm two permanent practice tracks ("Rodeodrive" and "Larkpipe") are available free of charge as well as additionally the race track with time measurement "The Wave". Registration required.
