Whether it's a high ropes course up in the forest, Via Ferrata or guided climbing tour: Altenmarkt-Zauchensee offers climbing fun for all abilities. Discover the impressive nature of the SalzburgerLand and take on the challenges in the high ropes park in Altenmarkt, in the sporty "Seewand" climbing centre or on one of the exciting climbing routes in the surrounding area.
In the high ropes park on the Mühlenweg towards Zauchensee, you can prove your courage and dexterity, solve fun tasks and enjoy the unusual views. The 300 m long forest high ropes park has 16 stations and platforms up to 20 m high. If you try them all, you will be climbing for two hours under the treetops: over steel ropes, slides, rope bridges, wooden walkways and master spectacular crossings over the wildly romantic Zauchbach stream several times. Children under 14 (minimum height 1.30 m) are only allowed to climb in the company of an adult (1 adult max. 3 children). Sturdy shoes and comfortable clothing are recommended.
The high ropes course in the forest is open from July to September on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 6 pm.
For groups who book in advance, it is open all year round.
Admission prices: € 20/adult, € 18/child. Reductions with the Salzburger Sportwelt Card.

The relatively easy, scenic and not too long Via Ferrata (difference in altitude 90 m) leads climbing fans into the fascinating world of rocks and opens up wonderful views over Zauchensee. The Via Ferrata is A-B/C in difficulty and is also suitable for children aged 10 and over accompanied by an adult or a mountain guide.
Guided Via Ferrata tours can be arranged by phone (+43 (0) 664 145 36 02, Gerd Balla): Minimum number of participants: 5 people, minimum age 10 years old. Prices depend on the size of the group. Climbing helmet, harness and Via Ferrata set are provided. Please bring your own sturdy boots. Those wishing to climb the Via Ferrata on their own responsibly must have the proper Via Ferrata equipment, be able to use it and be familiar with Alpine dangers.
Car parking is available at the entrance to the climbing centre.
You can also book a guided Via Ferrata tour to Ramsau in the Dachstein Massif or to Gosau/Salzkammergut. The Gosausee Via Ferrata runs directly above Lake Gosau and gives you impressive views of the Dachstein Massif, throughout the climb.
