From November 19 to December 18, you can experience a journey back in time through regional craftsmanship in the valley town of Altenmarkt (842 m) on weekends.
They dive into yesterday in the local history museum. Its pride and joy: the handcrafted Grundner nativity scene from the 18th century. 80 of the approximately 120 lifelike figures are even movable - a true masterpiece.
A few steps away, the Advent.Market delights with contemporary handicrafts. Wooden stalls, a small fir forest, the large Advent wreath and many lanterns create a stylish and cozy Christmas atmosphere.
Afterwards, a look into the future beckons. The Dechantshoftenne, which is part of the local history museum and where agricultural equipment and tools from earlier times are normally exhibited, is transformed into a place of innovation and modernity: Here, regional businesses and artisans exhibit their original pieces and ideas.
