Open daily until the end of the summer season: 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
Gondola-reservation required!

The Dachstein Ice Palace can be accessed from Ramsau with the Dachstein Gondola. The Ice Palace is open all year round when the lift is open even in bad weather. The Ice Palace is just a 3 minute walk from the top of the gondola. Good, grippy shoes are recommended. Alongside the ice sculptures, there is also a window into a crevasse that is 40m long, 17m deep and 2m wide which is full of water.

The Dachstein Glacier is a UNESCO-protected site. It is up to 134m thick and has a surface area of 560 ha, with the oldest ice being about 500 years old.
