Question 2

What is Alpine cuisine in Altenmarkt-Zauchnsee?

Accepted Answer

Stories are told on the plate with Alpine cuisine. The focus is on seasonal regionality and authenticity: Alpine cuisine reflects on traditional recipes in the same way as on modern methods of preparation. This is how unique dishes are created because their ingredients are unique. It is collected and picked again: yarrow, spruce tops, forest clover, herbs, elderberries, cornel cherries and beard lichen.

This concept only works if the trio - committed farmers, regional producers and chefs - work hand in hand and according to the same quality principles.

Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, its restaurants and cafés are working together to promote Alpine cuisine.

Question 3

What is SlowShopping in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee?

Accepted Answer

Altenmarkt-Zauchensee is committed to slow shopping. Because, firstly, many shops and companies have been offering sustainably produced products for a long time. We want to increasingly bring them in front of the curtain, put them in the shop window and label them there in an eye-catching way. Secondly, many companies also dedicate themselves very much to the social aspect of sustainability - the contact from person to person. Personal care and "taking your time" are particularly important.
