Altenmarkt-Zauchensee in SalzburgerLand is one of the regions with the highest density of experiences in the Alps. Altenmarkt-Zauchensee is located in the Austrian state of Salzburg and is the perfect starting point for a variety of activities. On the A10 of the Tauern autobahn in the direction of Villach/Graz you can reach Altenmarkt-Zauchensee from Salzburg in just 45 minutes (65 km).
Coming from Germany via the A 8 motorway (Munich-Salzburg), take the Walserberg border crossing. Continue on the Tauern Autobahn A 10 in the direction of Villach.
Coming from the east (Linz/Vienna) via the Westautobahn A1 in the direction of Salzburg and continue as described above. From the south via the Pyhrnautobahn, the Ennstal and the Tauernautobahn A 10.

For those traveling by train, the nearest train stations are Radstadt (5 km) and Bischofshofen train station, 24 km away. Both stations are EuroCity (EC) and InterCity (IC) stations. You can get from Salzburg to Radstadt eight times a day every two hours in about 1 hour and 20 minutes. From Vienna you can get to Radstadt six times a day in about 4 hours with a change in Leoben.
From Zurich there is a daily direct EuroCity connection to Bischofshofen and Radstadt. Tip: Travel in the panoramic car (1st class) and enjoy the wonderful mountain world of the Alps as soon as you arrive.

The nearest international airports are Salzburg (65 km) and Munich (235 km). All major airlines have Salzburg as their arrival and departure destination. Shuttle buses run from Salzburg to Altenmarkt-Zauchensee. From Salzburg Airport you can reach Salzburg Main Station in 15 to 20 minutes.
