Dynamism on the cross-country ski, precision on the rifle - that's biathlon, the perfect combination of cross-country skiing and shooting. Altenmarkt-Zauchensee in the heart of Salzburg's Sportwelt now offers this varied winter sports discipline on a circuit at the cross-country center.
For all those whose heart beats for biathlon, it's time to join in and try it out this winter: Altenmarkt-Zauchensee offers beginners and those interested a new course programme to get a taste of the challenging combination of cross-country skiing and shooting. The offer is also particularly family-friendly, with a separate course for children. By the way, biathlon not only increases physical fitness, but also the general ability to concentrate due to the contrast between dynamics and calm.
From the beginning to the end of the season, biathlon coach Roland Loipold is always on the go on Tuesdays and Thursdays on the practice track in Altenmarkt.
