Zauchensee Ski Area in Salzburg
High-alpine, challenging ski adventures in the World Cup village Zauchensee in Salzburg!
The Zauchensee ski area lies in the heart of Ski amadé, Austria’s largest ski region with over 860 km of piste, and is one of the best and most reliable for snow due to its high altitude (up to 2,344 m) and its excellent infrastructure with extensive cover provided by snow cannons. 78 km of piste and 24 modern lifts are waiting to be discovered. You can reach this diverse ski area from either the World Cup Arena in Zauchensee or the Highport in Flachauwinkl. Gentle slopes, racy stretches, wide carving pistes and steep mogul fields fulfill the dreams of every skier or snowboarder, whether starting out or ready to take on a challenge.
Race Training for everyone, here in Salzburg
Zauchensee is well-loved by ski clubs and technical skiers who train on the Kogelalm to hone their skills and improve their best times. The Kogelalm training centre is the ideal place. Three pistes provide the perfect training ground:
- „The Wave“ - a permanent race course, 350 m in length with free timing
- „The Larkpipe“ - an undulating piste 330 m long with a height difference of 100 m
- „Rodeo Drive“ - a permanent training piste, the longest at 430 m
